12 TEXTILE INDUSTRY
12.1 After independence, people set their hearts to
industrialize their newly independent country. Textile industry was the first
one to come to the attention of the entrepreneur. The growth of textile
industry, which incidentally is the biggest industrial sector
of the country , is
shown in the following table.
