16    FUTURE STRATEGY

16.1 Treat cotton people kindly. 16.2 Mechanization of agriculture may be given due consideration as it will reduce cost of prouction. 16.3 Serious and narrow focus attention be given to genetic engineering. 16.4 Double the length and double the strength of cotton. 16.5 Down stream industries should be encouraged, as they are the source of most value addition.
