7. COTTON VERSES MAN-MADE FIBRES:

7.1 Man-made fibres started with a humble beginning after World War-1. But from an infant enterprise in the early years of the century, the MMF industry became a giant in less than half- a century. Even in Pakistan these fibres are now posing a real threat to cotton, The consumption of textile fibres in Pakistan is shown in Table 8.
